Timber And Concrete Bases
We can supply and install a timber base for your cabin
One of the most important parts of your cabin is the base. the base needs to be flat, level and able to support the weight of your cabin. There are more traditional ways of doing your base such as a raised timber frame on posts or the belt and braces way of a solid concrete slab. There are also some new ways such a ground screws and pre-made plastic bases.

The easiest and cheapest option is using 100mm x 50mm treated timber frame and posts concreted into the ground.

Concrete bases require the area to be excavated by 150mm and filled with sub base MOT type 1 and mechanically compacted, a frame is then made using 100mm timber and the centre is filled with concrete and sometimes steels for extra strength.

Bases are not included in the estimate given. We do not currently offer a base building service
